When he first goes to sleep, we see him lying on his bed with all of his possessions around him. He's still holding onto hope even though everything seems bleak at this point of his life.
The next morning, when he wakes up and looks out the window at all of the people below who are going about their daily lives without any care or concern for anything else outside themselves (or maybe just passing through), it becomes clear that they don't care either. They're just going through motions because they have no other choice besides what's happening right now; there isn't much else worth considering beyond making sure nothing bad happens while trying not die right away so you can live long enough until someone else comes along who has some answers—but none come looking anyway!

The Seventh Seal: The Seventh Seal follows a knight who finds himself on an island after losing his horse in battle. He meets two travelers who are also lost and tells him about how they were going to kill themselves if they take the road that they had planned through the forest. They join forces with this knight and together they try to find meaning in their lives again by going on adventures through different lands until eventually coming back home where we find out what happened at the end of each story (the knight dies).
